Malad East is a very busy part of the suburbs, and being under the flyover means there is a lot of traffic noise throughout the day. The rumble of the cars and trucks overhead is something you just get used to after a while. Our spot at number 8 is simple and straightforward. It’s a functional space where we handle our daily affairs. Malad is always crowded, and the area around the flyover is no different. There are lots of small shops and people moving around at all hours. We don’t have any fancy signage or a big lobby. It is just a place to work. The interior is practical, with basic furniture and some shelves for our things. Sometimes it gets a bit dark because of the flyover, so we have to keep the lights on even during the day. We have been here for a good amount of time, so we know the local chai wallahs and the other shop owners nearby. It’s a hardworking part of town, and we fit right in with the rest of the businesses on this stretch. We just focus on getting our tasks done and dealing with the day-to-day operations. It’s nothing special to look at, but it’s where we are based. It works for us and the work we do.
