Shri P Sudarshan

I’ve been based out of Amar Mahal 9 for quite some time now. The office is in Laxmi Sadan, which sits right on P L Lokhande Marg in Chembur. If you know this part of Chembur, you know it’s always moving. The traffic on the Marg is pretty constant, and you can hear the buses and rickshaws from the window all day. My space is fairly simple, with just the essentials I need to get through my daily work. I usually get in around nine and start by sorting through whatever came in the mail. It’s an older building, so it has that specific smell of old paper and stone. I don't have a big staff or anything; I mostly handle the tasks myself or with a bit of help when things get really backed up. I like being near the Amar Mahal area because it’s easy to get to other parts of the city from here. Sometimes the overhead fans make a bit of noise, but it’s better than the heat. I’ve seen the shops around here change many times, but Laxmi Sadan stays pretty much the same. I keep a stack of ledgers on the side table, and my computer is usually left on until late. It’s not a fancy place for meetings, just a practical room where I can focus. Most days are just about staying steady and finishing what I started in the morning. It is a quiet way to work in a loud city.
