My place is right in the heart of the Malad East Main Bazar on Dehu Road. It’s a very active spot, especially on market days when the street is packed with people and vendors. I’ve been at number 8 for a long time now. The building is older, but it serves its purpose. I handle various local business matters from here. It’s mostly sitting at a wooden desk and talking to people who come in with questions or paperwork. There’s always noise coming in from the bazaar—people shouting, bells ringing, and bikes passing by. It keeps things interesting. My office doesn't have air conditioning, so we keep the fans going all day to stay cool. It’s a very simple setup with a couple of chairs for visitors and stacks of files that I try to keep in some kind of order. Sometimes I get behind on the filing, but I eventually catch up. People in the area know me by name, and I know most of them. It’s that kind of neighborhood where everyone talks to each other. I don't have any big signs or fancy lights outside. Just a small board so people know they’re at the right door. I spend most of my time here, from the early morning until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a busy life but I’ve grown fond of the chaos of the Main Bazar. It feels like home to me. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else really.
