Shremchandra R Maurya

It’s just Shremchandra R Maurya at number 10 on Sherpura Road in Bhandup West. We are very close to the Jainendra Mandir. You can hear the bells from the temple in the mornings and evenings, which is actually quite nice amidst all the noise of the road. Sherpura Road is always moving. There are people on bikes and carts going past the door constantly. Our little spot is simple. We have some chairs for people to sit on and a desk where we keep all the records. It’s not a big operation at all. It’s mostly just me here doing the daily work. The floor is concrete and the walls are a plain color that’s faded over the years. I usually open up early before the sun gets too hot. The neighbors are mostly shopkeepers like me and we all know each other. Sometimes a stray dog will sit by the door to get some shade and I don't have the heart to move it. It’s just a normal part of life here in Bhandup. We don’t have any fancy signs or big lights or anything like that. Just the name and the address on the wall. It’s a practical way to spend the day. When the temple has a festival, the whole street gets blocked and we just sit and watch the crowds. It’s just how it goes here near the Jainendra Mandir. It isn't much, but it's where we are.
