If you find yourself in Mulund West, you probably know the Kamla Nehru Shopping Center. We are situated right opposite that, in the Vishwa Mohini Building. It’s the Hal 3rd Stage area, and it stays pretty active throughout the day. Our shop is filled with shelves of tools, from basic wrenches to more specialized gear that people in the trade need. The space isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into the corners over the years. We spend a lot of time organizing things, though it feels like as soon as we tidy up, someone comes in looking for something buried at the bottom of a bin. Living and working in Mulund has its own rhythm. The traffic outside can get loud, especially during the peak shopping hours across the street. We usually have a radio playing in the background to drown out the honking. Most of our customers are local contractors or guys who like fixing things themselves. They come in, ask for a specific size or brand, and we go hunting through the inventory. It’s a lot of standing and reaching for high shelves. Sometimes we run out of the most common stuff and have to wait for the next delivery truck to navigate the narrow roads here. It’s a straightforward business. No big corporate meetings here, just us figuring out which tool fits the job best for whoever walks through the door today.
