Shree Narmada Architectural Systems Ltd

Our office is tucked away in Kohiyar House, Building No 4, over in Marine Lines. We are in the Mini Market area, right behind the Edward Restaurant. Being behind a restaurant means we always know what’s for lunch based on the smells wafting through the back windows. Shree Narmada Architectural Systems Ltd is a place filled with rolls of blueprints, samples of materials, and a lot of rulers. It’s not a flashy design studio with mood lighting. It’s more of a workshop feel where we actually get our hands dirty with plans and specs. The building itself has that old Mumbai charm, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We have large tables for spreading out drawings, and there’s usually a bit of dust from the samples we keep. Marine Lines is a great place to work because of the history all around us. We aren't interested in sounding like a big firm. We are just a group of people who understand how buildings go together. Sometimes we spend hours arguing over a small detail in a drawing. It’s part of the process. We drink plenty of coffee and try to keep the paperwork from taking over the whole room. It’s a quiet, busy life in a corner of the city that still feels like it has a soul. We just focus on the drawings and the details.
