Shree Mahavir General Store

We have been here at Motishah Jain Park for a long time now. It is a quiet spot in some ways but the Love Lane area gets quite busy during the day. Most mornings start early because the people going to the Jain Mandir stop by for small things they need. The shop is at 168/A and it is not a very big space, but we keep it packed with all the daily stuff. You will find us sitting here from morning until the evening. Sometimes the Mumbai humidity makes it tough, so we keep the fans running. We stock things like pulses, sugar, and those little household items that people suddenly realize they ran out of at home. It is just a regular shop where we know most of the faces coming through the door. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It's mostly just shelves and stacks of boxes. If someone asks for something we don't have, we usually try to get it in the next delivery. The kids from the park often come in for snacks in the afternoon. It feels like a part of the neighborhood life here in Byculla. We handle the accounts ourselves and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit crowded sometimes. That is just how it is. It's a lot of hours every week but we are used to the routine by now.
