Shree Ganesh Veg Fast Food

We are located in Malad West, right in Kalina Village on Old CST Road at number 18. Shree Ganesh Veg Fast Food has been a busy spot for as long as I can remember. Most mornings start around five when we get the first batch of vegetables delivered. The kitchen gets really hot by noon, but we’re used to it. We have a few tables out front, though most people just stand and eat quickly before they go to the office or catch a bus. The floor gets a bit slippery if it rains, so we’re always mopping it up with an old rag. We serve a lot of different things, mostly stuff that we can cook fast on the big flat grills. There’s a constant sound of metal spatulas hitting the iron all day long. We have a guy who just does the dishes all day because they pile up so fast. It’s loud because of the traffic on CST Road, and the buses roar past every few minutes. We don't have a menu with photos or anything, just a board on the wall with the prices written in chalk. Sometimes we run out of things by late evening if it’s been a busy day. We just wipe down the counters at night and start all over again the next day. It’s hard work, but we’ve known the regulars for years and they always stop for a quick chat while we cook their food.
