Down here at Peenya 2nd Stage, things move at a certain pace. Shree Ganesh Tools is situated right on the Andrahalli Main Road in Goregaon East. It is a busy industrial patch, so there is always a truck idling nearby or the sound of someone loading crates. We have been in this spot for a while, and the walls show it. There are marks where we’ve leaned heavy equipment and calendars from three years ago still hanging up. We deal with all sorts of tools every day. It is mostly about grit and making sure the measurements are right. We don’t have a lot of time for sitting around. Our team is small, just a handful of guys who know how to handle the machinery. The air usually smells like oil and burnt metal, which is something you get used to pretty fast. We try to stay organized, but in a place like this, things tend to find their own spots on the workbench. It is a straightforward business. We don’t do much advertising; most people find us because they need something specific and heard we were here on the main road. The traffic outside can be a headache, but inside, we just focus on the metalwork. It is not a clean or quiet job, but it is what we know. We just keep moving from one task to the next until the sun goes down. The floor is usually a bit slippery, so you have to watch your step. We close up when the light fades.
