Shilpa Paints

Shilpa Paints is tucked away in the Krishna Cotton Press building over on Jakaria Bunder Road. It is an old area in Sewrii with a lot of history and dust from the docks nearby. We have been selling paint here for a long time. The shop is full of cans stacked up to the ceiling and it usually smells like fresh thinner or oil paint. We don't have a big showroom with lights and displays. People just come in with a scrap of paper or a piece of wood and ask if we can match the color for them. Sometimes the mixing takes a bit of time so they sit on the bench outside and watch the trucks go by. It gets quite loud around here during the afternoons when the warehouses are loading up. My father used to run things and now I am here most days trying to keep the inventory straight. We deal with painters and some building owners who need stuff in bulk for their projects. We don't do much advertising because everyone around Sewrii knows where the cotton press is anyway. The floor is stained with every color you can imagine from spills over the years. It is a simple business where we just try to get the orders right and make sure people leave with what they need to finish their walls or furniture without any fuss.
