Sheth Glass Works

You can find Sheth Glass Works at No. 3 Marioum Mansion, right on Baptista Road in Vile Parle West. It’s an old building, and we’ve been here for quite a while. Vile Parle is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always people walking by the door. We do glass work, nothing too complicated, just the usual stuff people need for their homes or small shops. The space is a bit cramped because we have sheets of glass leaning against the walls and tools scattered around. You have to watch your step when you come in. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know most of the people on the street. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we cut things to size and fix what’s broken. We open up early in the morning and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and the floor gets covered in tiny scraps of glass that we have to sweep up constantly. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle a cutter. If you’re walking down Baptista Road, you’ll probably see us working right there near the entrance. We just do our job and hope the customers are happy enough with the glass they take home at the end of the day.
