Gelani Glass Centre

Gelani Glass Centre is located in Shop No. 6 and 7. We are in the Mathuradas Gordhan Das Trust Building. Our shop is right near the signal where Station Road and SV Road meet in Hunshyal. It's a busy corner with lots of cars and people crossing all the time. We have two shops next to each other to hold all the glass we keep in stock. There are sheets of glass leaning against the walls and bits of frames everywhere. You have to be careful where you step so you don't trip on anything. We spend our days cutting glass to size and handling various orders that come in from the neighborhood. It’s dusty work, and our hands usually have a few small nicks from the sharp edges. We don't mind it much. The building itself is an older one, but it’s sturdy. We’ve known the people around here for years. When the signal changes, there’s always a big rush of noise, but it becomes background sound after a while. We aren't a big corporation, just a local glass shop where we do things the old-fashioned way. We measure twice and cut once, or at least we try to. Most of the time we are just busy with the glass cutter in hand. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the local scene. The P.G Tqgokak area feels like home to us.
