The shop is located in Khar West at Mehta Building, right on 12th Road. It’s Shop No 3/11. It is a pretty compact space, so we have to be careful about where we put things. Most days start with us opening the shutters and sweeping the front. We have some shelves lined up with our stock and a small counter where we handle everything. Khar is a busy neighborhood, so there is always someone walking past or a car honking outside. The building itself is quite old and has that specific character you find in this part of town. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The back room is a bit cramped and filled with boxes that we need to sort through eventually. We have a small fan that rattles a little, but it keeps the air moving. It’s a simple place to work. We don't spend money on expensive signs or fancy furniture for ourselves. We just make sure the shop is open on time and that we are ready for whatever the day brings. Sometimes we stand out front for a few minutes just to get some air. It’s a regular local business life.
