Savla Renting Of Properties is based at 499 Khar West. This is a busy residential part of the city, and being in Khar means we are right in the middle of everything. The office isn't anything special to look at. It’s a simple room with some old wooden cupboards full of folders and a few desks where we sit and drink our tea. Renting out properties in this area keeps us quite busy because people are always moving in and out of Khar. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out walking to different buildings to check on things or show people around. Khar West has a certain feel to it, with the narrow lanes and the old buildings mixed with the new towers. Our spot at 499 is easy enough to get to, and we’ve been here for a long time. We don’t use any fancy software to track things; it’s mostly just paper notebooks and memory. We know the local landlords and the regulars who have lived here for decades. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of walking in the sun. Sometimes the monsoons make the streets a bit difficult to navigate, but we still have to go out and see to the properties. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment at all. We just handle the rentals and make sure the paperwork is in order for everyone. It’s a small, local operation, and we like it that way. People just drop by the office when they need something.
