Satyam Electric & Hardware

We run Satyam Electric & Hardware over in a compound on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. It’s a pretty busy area with a lot of offices and small factories around us. We keep a lot of stuff in stock, from light bulbs and wires to hammers and nails. It’s the kind of place where things are piled up high because we try to have whatever someone might need in a pinch. We spend a lot of our time helping people figure out which fuse or switch they need for a repair. We don't have a fancy retail space with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a practical shop for people who need to get things fixed. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the electricians who work in this part of town. We aren't interested in being the most famous hardware store, just the one that’s open when you need a spare part. Dealing with suppliers can be a bit of a headache sometimes when things are delayed, but we just explain it to the customers as it is. We don't do any big promotions. We just focus on being straight with people and doing our work. It’s a simple life and we’re happy enough with it.
