Sarwar Food Products

Sarwar Food Products is down in Nagpada, specifically on JP Road 222. The building is older, and you can smell the spices and food being prepared from all the way down the street. We spend most of our time in the back where the actual work happens, weighing things out and packing them into bags for the local shops. It is a very hands-on job, so our clothes usually end up looking a bit messy by the time lunch rolls around. The kitchen area is always a bit noisy with the sounds of heavy pots and the staff talking over the noise of the fans. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the records, though the ledger has some stains on it from tea spills and flour. It is not a quiet place, especially when the big trucks come to drop off the raw ingredients and we have to haul everything inside quickly. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just have to sit and wait it out, talking about the weather or how busy the road is getting. It is a lot of hard work, but we have a good routine down now after all these years in Nagpada. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just making sure the food products get out to the people who buy them every single week. The floor is made of stone and stays cool even when it is boiling hot outside, which is nice.
