Pappu Scrappers

We are located near Holy Cross on Hira Baug Road in Santacruz West. People bring us all sorts of old things they don't want anymore. It’s mostly metal, old machines, and bits of wire. Our yard gets pretty cluttered, but we usually know where everything is. Collecting scrap is a messy business, and our hands are rarely clean. We spend the day sorting through piles of junk to see what can be used again. It’s loud sometimes with the trucks coming in and out. Santacruz West is a busy area, so there’s always something happening on the road outside. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. Some people just drop things off, others want us to come and pick up bigger loads. We have a scale and some basic tools for breaking things down. It’s not the kind of place you come to see something pretty. It’s just a workspace. We deal with regular folks from the neighborhood and some bigger contractors too. The weather affects us a lot since a lot of the work is outside. When it rains, things get muddy, but the work doesn't really stop. We just keep sorting and loading the bins. If you pass by Hira Baug Road, you’ll probably see us working. We don't have a big sign or anything special, just the piles of scrap and the sound of metal. That’s how we spend our days here.
