Jai Ambe Aluminium

Our business is based in the Gokul Nagar Co-Operative Housing Society over in Kanjurmarg West and Borivili. It’s a bit of a weird address because we work in a few spots, but our main setup is here. We deal with all kinds of aluminum sections. If you walk into the workshop, you’ll see piles of silver and brown metal channels everywhere. We spend most of our time cutting these into lengths for window frames or office partitions. It’s a lot of clicking sounds when the pieces snap together. We have a couple of small cutting machines that scream when they hit the metal. The floor is usually covered in those tiny little silver metal shavings that get stuck in your shoes. We don't have a showroom with fancy lights. Instead, we just show people the actual materials we have in stock. A lot of our work is done inside people's apartments or offices, so we spend half the day packing tools into our bags. We carry a lot of ladders and glass suction cups. It’s a lot of climbing up and down. We don't really do any big advertising. Most people just see our truck or find us through the housing society. It’s steady work, and we just focus on making sure the frames are level and the glass doesn't rattle. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living.
