You will find Bharat Scrap Trading Co. over at Number 91/1/1, Shivaji Kutir Mandle, right on L.B.S. Marg in Kurla West. L.B.S. Marg is a legendary road for this kind of work, as anyone in Mumbai will tell you. It is always loud, dusty, and full of heavy trucks moving back and forth. Our yard is where we deal with all kinds of scrap metal and other materials that people bring in to us. It’s a tough environment, and we are usually covered in a layer of dust by the end of the day. We have a big scale for weighing things, and a lot of the work is just heavy lifting and sorting through piles of iron, copper, and whatever else comes through the gate. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where we do our business every single day. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures to show people. Most folks just know where we are and what we do by word of mouth. We’ve been in Kurla for a lot of years, and we have seen the scrap market change quite a bit in that time. Some days the prices are good and we are moving tons of material, other days it’s a bit slower and we just spend time organizing the piles. We don't use any big corporate language because that's not who we are. We are just traders doing our best in a very busy and messy part of Mumbai. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know and we stay open late most days.
