Our office is up on the third floor of Deepali Darshan. It’s right there on Road Number 5 in Jayprakash Nagar, Goregaon East. It's a busy part of Mumbai, so getting here in the morning is always a bit of a challenge with the traffic and the trains. We’ve got units 301 and 302. Inside, it's mostly stacks of papers and folders about machine tools. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the machines get where they need to go. It’s not a quiet place. There is always a phone ringing or someone typing away at a keyboard. We don’t have any of those fancy coffee machines, just a kettle and some biscuits in the drawer. It works for us. We've been in this building for some time now, and we know the watchman and the other folks around. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a big shipment of parts comes in, but we manage to find space. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the machine tools we handle are right for the people using them. If you come by, you’ll probably see us arguing over a technical manual or checking a delivery schedule on a whiteboard. It’s honest work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and get on with it until the sun goes down and it's time to head home to our families.
