Sandhyas Dance Classes

Our dance class is located in Goregaon East, specifically at Office Number 2 in the Rajnigandha Apartment. It isn’t a massive studio like the ones you see on TV, but it works for what we do every day. We’ve been teaching here for a while, and the neighbors in the building are used to the music by now. Usually, the afternoons are quiet, but once school lets out, the place fills up with kids wanting to learn some moves. We mostly do folk and some classical stuff, but it depends on who is teaching that day. The room has mirrors on one side and a floor that we try to keep clean, though with so many feet coming in and out, it is a bit of a task. People from the nearby blocks usually just walk over. It is easy to find us once you get into the Rajnigandha complex. We spend a lot of time just repeating the same steps until everyone gets them right. It can get a bit sweaty and loud, especially in the summers, but we have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most of our students come because their cousins or friends told them about us. It is a nice way to spend the evening, and it keeps everyone active. Sometimes we have small performances for the parents right here in the office space when a batch finishes their routine.
