You have to head up to the third floor of Ishwar Bhavan to find us. We’re located on Rani Sati Marg in Malad East. It’s a bit of a climb, but we’ve been here at A-2/21 for quite some time. The area is always buzzing with traffic, especially being so close to the highway and the station. We spend our days surrounded by tools and all sorts of equipment. It’s a bit cramped in the office sometimes because we try to keep everything within reach. Most of the people who drop by are regulars from the neighborhood or mechanics looking for something specific. We don’t really do much in the way of decoration; the walls are mostly covered with shelves. Sometimes the lift works, sometimes it doesn’t, so you might end up taking the stairs. It’s just the way things are in these older buildings in Malad. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we sort through the latest delivery. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay on top of the orders. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure everything gets sent out to the right place. We like the pace of things here. It’s familiar and we know most of the other shopkeepers in the building. It might not look like much from the street, but we get the job done every single day.
