Sakshi Creation

We are located at E/1 Gala No 7 in the B.M.C. Colony in Hanuman Nagar. This is in Goregaon East, not too far from Santosh Nagar. The gala is a small industrial space where we do all our stitching and creation work. It is usually quite loud because of the machines running and the other units nearby. The B.M.C. Colony is a busy place with lots of small businesses like ours. We have piles of fabric in different colors sitting in the corners. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and scraps of cloth. We have a few big tables for cutting the material. It is not a very clean or polished place, it is a workshop. We drink tea from the local stall twice a day. The ceiling is high but it gets very stuffy when the sun is out. We have some lights hanging from the rafters so we can see the needles. People from the neighborhood often walk past the open door and wave. We have been in Gala No 7 for a while now. It is a simple life of making things and sending them out. We don’t have a fancy office for meetings, we just talk to people right there among the machines. The metal gate at the front is a bit rusty and makes a loud noise when we open it. Working here means getting used to the constant hum of Goregaon.
