Saini Catering Services

Working out of Ambewadi 28/A means we are always right in the middle of everything. Saini Catering Services isn't some big corporate kitchen with industrial robots; it’s just us and our stoves. Usually, the day starts before the sun is even up because someone has to go get the fresh stuff from the market. The air in the kitchen gets thick with the smell of cumin and onions pretty early on. Our space isn't huge, so we have to be really organized with our pots and pans. People around 28/A know when we’re working on a big order because they can smell the masala from down the street. It’s hard work, standing on your feet for ten hours, but it’s what we do. We’ve been here for a while and the walls have seen a lot of steam. We don’t really have a fancy office to meet people in. Most of the time, we’re just sitting on stools in the back, checking lists and making sure we haven't forgotten the salt. It gets messy, especially when we’re packing things up for a delivery, but we always manage to get it out the door. The traffic in Ambewadi can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we’re always looking at the clock. It’s just a regular local business, trying to keep everyone fed without making too much of a fuss about it. We just keep our heads down and cook.
