Sai Pooja Estate

You can find us at Shop No.141 inside the Galleria building over in Hiranandani Garden, Powai. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out walking around the plaza. Sai Pooja Estate has been in this shop for a while. Even though Powai is a bit fancy with all the tall buildings, our shop is actually pretty basic. We’ve got pictures of properties taped to the window and a couple of chairs for visitors to sit on. It’s mostly just me and a colleague handling the daily grind. We know the Hiranandani area like the back of our hand because we spend so much time walking through it to check on apartments. People come in looking for a flat to rent or maybe a shop space of their own. We talk about the prices and the different blocks. It’s straightforward work. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on being right here in the middle of the action where people can see us. The air conditioning in the shop struggles sometimes during the summer heat, but we make do. It’s a good community here. We know the other shopkeepers and the security guards. We just keep our heads down and help whoever walks through the door. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our living, and we’ve been at it long enough to know how things work in this part of Mumbai.
