Sai Annapurna

Our place is on M G Road in Chembur East, which is a fairly lively neighborhood. The shop is tucked away between a few other stores, so it is a bit easy to walk past if you are not paying attention. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know most of the people who live and work around here. It is a basic food joint where we serve up simple meals throughout the day. The inside is not anything special, just some plain tables and chairs that have been around for years. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready, boiling water, and setting up the display counter. There is a lot of foot traffic on M G Road, especially in the evening when everyone is coming back from the train station. We get a mix of regulars who come every day and people who are just passing through and need something to eat. The kitchen can get quite cramped when there are a few of us working, but we have a way of staying out of each other's way. Sometimes things break or a light goes out and we just fix it ourselves without any drama. It is a very local vibe and we don't try to be anything other than a simple neighborhood spot. We just focus on our daily routine and keep things going.
