I run Rpl Real Estate Agent out of an office in Pali Pathar. We are located near the Karnataka Bank on Ambedkar Road in Khar. This part of Mumbai is always moving fast. Real estate here is quite a headache, to be honest. I spend most of my time looking for flats that aren't too expensive, which is nearly impossible in Khar. My office is just a small room with a couple of chairs for clients and a desk piled with papers. I handle a lot of the rental work around here. People come in looking for a place to stay because they saw my board near the bank. I don't have a big team or a fancy website. It’s mostly just me and a helper who knows the local buildings. We walk around a lot, showing people rooms and checking on properties. Sometimes the keys don't work or the landlord changes his mind at the last minute. It’s a lot of running around and talking on the phone. I try to be honest with people about the condition of the flats. Some of these old buildings have plumbing issues or thin walls. I don’t promise anything I can’t deliver. It’s a tough business and some days are very slow, while others are non-stop. I just keep track of the listings in my notebook and try to make the deals work out for both sides. It's how I've made my living for years.
