We’ve been here at 73/3 on the Juhu Verson Link Road for quite a while now. Most people know us because we’re right across from the IDBI Bank in Jeet Nagar. It’s a busy spot in Andheri West, especially in the mornings when the traffic picks up. We started this trading business mostly because there was a need for these parts in the neighborhood. Some days are slow, others we can barely keep up with the orders coming in. The shop isn't huge, just enough space to keep what we need and for a few of us to sit. My cousin helps out with the ledger and the deliveries. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just try to get the goods out on time. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move stuff, especially during the monsoon months when the road gets messy. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, more buildings going up every day. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. If you're coming by, look for the four bungalows area, that's where we are. It’s easier to find if you just look for the bank. We handle a lot of different items depending on what people ask for. It’s mostly regular customers from around here, but sometimes someone new wanders in. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address. Sometimes the phone rings and it’s just someone looking for directions to the bank, which is a bit funny. We tell them where to go and then get back to our work. It's just a regular day in this part of Mumbai.
