Royal Dryfruits is based out of 10 Rizvi House on Hill Road in Bandra West. Being in Bandra means there is always something going on right outside our door. Hill Road is famous for the crowds and the shopping, so it’s never quiet here. Our office in Rizvi House is where we coordinate everything for the dry fruit business. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we have bags of nuts and crates of dried fruits coming in and out all the time. The smell of cashews and almonds is pretty much soaked into the walls at this point. We’ve been in this building for years, and while it’s an older place, it’s got a lot of character and history for us. We see a lot of foot traffic outside, and sometimes people wander in thinking we’re a retail shop, but we’re mostly focused on the distribution and the wholesale side of things from this office. The staff here is used to the chaos of Bandra West and the noise from the street vendors. We know the best times to move stock so we don’t get stuck in the middle of the heavy shopping rush. It’s a very urban way of working, I guess. We don’t have a big corporate setup with fancy desks or glass walls. We just have our workstations, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of product to manage every day. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood, even if we are just a small piece of the puzzle on Hill Road.
