We are tucked away behind Ranjit Studio in the 'f' block over here in Dadar East. If you know where the Sai Baba Temple is on Dada Saheb Phalke Road, we are right around the back side of that. It's a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always something going on outside our door. Sometimes the noise from the temple or the street traffic makes it hard to hear, but you get used to it after a few years. We do a lot of our work right here in this small space. It’s not a big place at all, but we manage to fit everything we need. People sometimes get a bit lost trying to find the back entrance, but once you’ve been here once, it’s easy enough. When the monsoon hits, the street outside gets quite muddy and flooded, but we just put down some cardboard and keep moving. The walls are a bit dusty and we have boxes stacked up high because there’s never enough storage space. Every morning starts with tea and then we get right into the orders. We don’t have a fancy front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who answers it. It’s just a regular local spot where we put in the hours and try to keep up with everything. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to fix or a new batch to start before we head home.
