Reshmas Sarees

We are over at Perry Cross Road in Bandra West. It’s Shop number 2, right on the corner basically. Reshmas Sarees has been around for a bit, and we mostly just deal with fabrics and different drapes. It’s not a huge place, so things get a bit cramped when we have more than three or four people inside. You know how it is with sarees, you have to unfold the whole thing to see the pattern, and then folding it back up takes forever. My hands are usually tired by the end of the day from all that silk and cotton. We have a lot of regular ladies from the neighborhood who come in just to see what new stock arrived. We don't really have a big fancy website or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes the rains make it hard because the moisture isn't good for the cloth, so we have to be careful. The shop is small but we fit a lot of stuff on the shelves. It’s a quiet part of Bandra compared to the main roads, which I like. We open up around ten, have our lunch in the back, and wait for the evening rush when people are heading home. It’s a steady kind of life. We just try to keep the colors bright and the prices fair so people come back next time they need something for a function.
