Remi Elektrotechnik Ltd is located at Plot No. 11 in the Cama Industrial Estate over in Goregaon East. This part of Mumbai is always moving fast, and our office is no different. It’s a sturdy old building and we have been using this space for a long time. There is a lot of history in these walls, even if they could use a fresh coat of paint here and there. We spend our hours dealing with the technical side of things, surrounded by wires and components. The industrial estate has a specific rhythm to it that you only get used to if you work here every day. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there’s always a truck backing up somewhere. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just show up, do the work, and head home. Our team is a mix of people who have been here forever and a few newer faces. We don't really do the whole corporate jargon thing. If something is broken, we say it’s broken. If it’s working, we keep it moving. The desk is usually piled with paperwork that we try our best to keep organized. It’s a practical environment for practical people. Goregaon is a tough place to commute to sometimes, but once you’re inside the gates of Cama Estate, it feels like its own little world where we can just get on with it. We usually grab some tea from the stall nearby when we need a break.
