Reliable Food

Reliable Food is down at Dahisar Main Road, specifically in Shop No 4 of Building No 2 in Thaka. It’s a place that smells like whatever we are moving that day, usually spices or sacks of grain. We aren't trying to be a supermarket or anything like that. It is more of a local supply point where people come when they need to stock their own kitchens or small stalls. The main road is always a mess with traffic, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache. We spend a lot of time just moving crates around and making sure the bags are tied tight. It’s just a few of us working here, and we don’t always get the paperwork perfect, but the food is good and it gets where it needs to go. The building is an old one, so we have to keep an eye on the damp during the monsoon. Customers come in and out, mostly regulars from the Thaka area who don't want to travel too far for their basics. We keep the doors open as long as there is light, and sometimes a bit longer if someone is running late. It is a lot of physical work, lifting heavy things and counting stock over and over. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop and the sign outside that has faded a bit in the sun. It’s just a simple business.
