Ravindra Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at Gala No. 15 in the Mahavir Industrial Estate, over in Vasai East. Ravindra Engineering Works is where we spend the majority of our time. It is a pretty typical industrial unit with high ceilings and a bit of oil on the floor from the machines. We have got our lathes and milling equipment all set up, and they make a fair amount of noise when we are in the middle of a big job. Vasai has grown so much in the last few years, and this industrial estate is always humming with people working. We do not have a sales team or any marketing people; it is mostly just us doing the actual engineering work with our own hands. When a customer brings in a broken part that needs fixing or a rough sketch for something new, we just get to it. Sometimes we have to stay late when a job is really urgent, especially if a customer has a machine that has stopped working. We have a tiny corner for an office where we keep the folders and bills, but we are usually out on the floor. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but we know where every single tool is kept. We have known the people in the units next door for years, and we often help each other out. It is just a practical way to run things.
