Rassa Marathicha Thassa

If you are walking near the Sewri Bus Depo, you will probably see our sign. We are located right behind the number 40 bus stop on A D Marg. It is a very local neighborhood. Across from us is the Prabhodankar Thakre Udyan, which is a nice park where kids play and older people walk in the evening. Our place, Rassa Marathicha Thassa, is just a small spot for people who like authentic tastes. We stay busy because of the bus stop right there. People waiting for their ride often pop in for a bit. The area in Sewri has its own rhythm. It's not like the flashy parts of Mumbai. It’s much more down to earth. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure the spices are exactly right for the day. There is no magic to it, just doing the same work every day. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets loud, but we are used to it by now. The park across the street gives us a bit of a view, which is nice when things quiet down in the afternoon. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us serving food to the locals and the bus drivers. It’s a simple setup with basic tables. We’ve been here in this part of Mumbai for a bit and know the regulars by name. We just want people to have a decent, filling meal before they head home on the bus.
