Rameshwar Traders

Nagdevi Cross Lane is one of those places in Masjid Bunder that never really sleeps. Rameshwar Traders is located right in the thick of it, at No. 43, Laxmi Building. We are on the 1st Floor, specifically in Room No - 103. Getting up to the first floor can be a bit of a squeeze when people are carrying heavy loads up and down the stairs. It is a busy building with a lot of different trades happening behind every single door. Inside our room, it is mostly just shelves and a desk where we handle the tasks for the day. The sounds of the street come up through the windows constantly—horns, people shouting, and the carts rattling on the stones. It is a lot of energy, but you get used to it after a week or two. We do not use much fancy equipment here. A few ledgers, a phone, and some basic tools are what keep us going. Masjid Bunder is a tough place to work if you do not like crowds, but for us, it is just home. We know the guys in the neighboring rooms and sometimes share a snack in the late afternoon. Rameshwar Traders is not a massive corporation with a glass front. We are just a small outfit in an old building trying to do our work properly every day. Every morning we open up and every evening we lock the heavy door. It is honest work and we do not feel the need to dress it up.
