Raju Chinesewala

We are located at Shop No 2 right at Noor Bag Naka in Byculla. If you know where the Wallace Flour Mill is, we are just opposite that in the Mazgaon Byculla area. It is a busy spot with a lot of people moving around all day long. Raju Chinesewala started because we wanted to serve the kind of food people here like to eat. The kitchen is small but we keep it very busy. You can usually see the steam coming off the pans from the street. We use the same recipes we have had since we first opened. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud but that is just how Byculla is. People stop by on their way home or during their lunch break. We do not have fancy chairs or anything like that. It is just a place to get some hot food that fills you up. The guys in the kitchen have been with us for a long time now. They know how to handle the rush when it gets dark and the dinner crowd shows up. We try to keep things simple and quick. It is not a big restaurant, just a local shop where we do our best with the small space we have. You will find us there near the mill every day. We have seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years but the mill is still there and so are we. It is a good community to be a part of.
