It’s a residential building, so it’s much quieter than being right on the main road. Working out of an apartment means things are a bit more relaxed. You have to take the elevator up to the fifth floor. We’ve been here for a long time, and the neighbors all know us by now. The space is filled with books and papers everywhere. It’s a one-man show mostly, or just a couple of us helping out. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and some trees down below. It’s a good place to focus on the work without too many distractions. People usually call before they come over because it’s a home as much as an office. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. It’s just a name on the door. It’s practical for the kind of work we do. We handle a lot of different things, mostly stuff that requires sitting down and thinking or looking through documents. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it's just a delivery, but usually, it's a client who has been coming to see us for years. Kandivali West is a nice area, even if it gets crowded in the evenings. We like the quiet life here at Shree Ram Appartment and it serves our needs well.
