R Gambir Catering Services

We’re located over in Parshuram Nagar Society, right near Mumbai Central. It’s been our base for years. Handling food for a lot of people is a big job, and our kitchen stays pretty busy most mornings. We aren't a big fancy restaurant; we’re a catering service that works out of this space. You can find us at 1323/R. It’s a bit of a maze in the society sometimes if you aren't used to it. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and stirring big pots. My aunt started this, and now we all just pitch in to keep it moving. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot in Mumbai. We try to keep things simple and make sure the food tastes like it was made at home. We don’t use any complicated menus or weird ingredients. Just the usual stuff people like to eat at gatherings. Sometimes we’re up at four in the morning to start the stoves. The neighbors are used to the smell of spices coming from our unit. We do a lot of small local events and family parties. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. Most of our work comes from people telling their friends about us. If you need some food for a function, we’re the ones to talk to. We just focus on getting the salt and the spice right every single time. It is a simple way to live, and we like the people we meet along the way.
