Procrter Gamble

Our small spot is over in Wadala, specifically at Barkat Ali Nagar. We are in the C Chawl, Room Number 06. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai. There is always noise and people moving around outside. Living and working in a chawl means you are always part of the community. It’s not a big office building with elevators and glass walls. It’s just a single room where we keep everything organized. We handle things for Procrter Gamble from here. It might seem like a small place for such a name, but it’s where we started. Space is tight in Mumbai, as everyone knows. We have to be very careful with how we store our stuff. Most days it’s about managing the daily tasks and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know our neighbors and they know us. The address might be hard to find if you aren't used to the layout of Barkat Ali Nagar. You have to look for the right alleyway. We don't have a big sign out front. We just get on with it. It’s a practical setup for the situation we are in. We don't need much more than our workspace and a bit of focus to get the day's chores done. In a chawl like ours, you learn to be very efficient with the little space you have. We don't have room for extras that aren't necessary for the work.
