Presto Technica Industries

Ghatkopar West is a funny place because you have this huge R City Mall and then right behind it is the industrial estate where we are. Presto Technica Industries is in Shop No 5 A. It is quite a contrast if you think about it. People are going to the mall to watch movies or shop for clothes, while we are back here dealing with industrial parts and grease. The road leading back to our shop is usually narrow and full of delivery trucks blocking the way. Inside the shop, it is mostly just metal shelves and heavy workbenches. We do not have any air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that move the hot air around. It gets pretty loud during the day with all the other shops nearby working on their own things too. We mostly see the same delivery guys and regular faces coming in. We do not really do much in the way of fancy displays or signs. Most people come to us because they know where we are or someone they trust told them. It is not the kind of place where you just wander in to look around. You come here when you have a specific thing that needs doing or a part that needs finding. Sometimes we have tea on the plastic chairs out front while waiting for a truck to move. It is a bit messy and crowded, but that is just how industrial areas in Mumbai are.
