Pravin G Ramaiya

Our office is on the third floor of Hari Lela House, which is right on S C Road in the Fort area. We are directly opposite the General Post Office, so it is a very old and busy part of the city. Pravin G Ramaiya has been operating out of this building for quite a while. The stairs up to the third floor can be a bit of a climb, but we are used to it by now. The office is filled with files and old wooden furniture that has been around as long as we have. Being in Fort means there is a lot of history in the walls and a lot of noise from the streets outside. We spend most of our time dealing with paperwork and meeting people who drop by for advice or to handle their affairs. It isn't a modern, glass-walled office. It feels more like a lived-in space where work actually gets done. Sometimes the ceiling fan squeaks a bit, but it keeps the air moving. We look out over the post office and watch the crowds. It is a steady kind of life here. We do not do much advertising; most people find us because they know the building or have been coming here for years. We just keep things running from our little corner on the third floor, doing what needs to be done each day for the people who need our help.
