Pran Dance Classes

Our studio is right on Andheri High Tension Road. It’s a place called Pran Dance Classes. If you know Andheri, you know how busy and loud the High Tension Road area can be. There is always music playing inside our rooms to drown out the sound of the traffic outside. We have mirrors on the walls and a floor that’s seen a lot of footsteps over the years. It’s not a high-end luxury studio, but it’s a good space for moving around. People come here after school or work to get some dancing in. The humidity in Mumbai can make the studio quite sweaty, so we have fans blowing all the time. Sometimes the speakers crackle a bit, but we just fix the wires and keep going. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly find out about us because they live nearby or walk past on High Tension Road. We’ve been teaching dance here for a while. The vibe is pretty relaxed. Nobody is judging anyone. We just put on the tracks and start the session. It’s a bit messy with bags and shoes piled up by the door, but that’s just how it is when people are busy dancing. It feels like a second home to a lot of us. We enjoy the noise and the energy of the High Tension Road, and we usually close up quite late at night.
