Potluck

We are located in Tardeo, right at Khatri Pole. It’s directly opposite the RTO, so there’s always people coming and going for their licenses or whatever paperwork they have. Potluck is a small place. We don't have a lot of room for people to hang around. Most of our customers are just grabbing something quickly before they have to go back to work or catch a bus. It gets very busy around lunchtime. The kitchen is right there behind the counter. You can hear the pans clanking and the stove hissing all day long. It gets pretty hot inside, so we keep the door wide open to let some air in from the street. The air is a bit dusty because of the traffic, but that’s just Tardeo for you. We use simple plates and don't do any fancy plating. It’s about getting the food ready and making sure it tastes like it should. I handle the money and sometimes help with the packing. My apron is usually stained by the afternoon. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we’re here because they see the sign when they’re standing at the RTO. The stools we have are a bit wobbly, so you have to be careful when you sit down. We’re just a regular shop doing our thing every day. No big story behind it, just a lot of work and plenty of hungry people coming through the door.
