Poonam Sons

We’ve been at 64, Nagdevi Street for a while now, up on the first floor. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the hardware shops and people moving boxes around. We spend most of our mornings just organizing what came in the day before. It’s a busy spot, but we’re used to it. My desk is usually covered in papers and catalogs, and we spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for specific parts. There’s no fancy lobby or anything here, just shelves and the tools we need to get through the day's orders. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the street noise gets a bit much, but we just keep going. We handle all sorts of stuff, mostly things people need for their own workshops or projects. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, and we don't really do the whole corporate thing. If someone needs a price, we look it up in the big ledger or check the latest list from the suppliers. We try to keep things simple because that’s what works for us. Usually, by five or six, we’re wrapping things up and making sure the shutters are ready to go down. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our work and we take it seriously enough without making a big fuss about it. Just a regular day at Poonam Sons, really.
