Poonam Kapurs Healthy Tiffins

We run our kitchen out of the Vishwakarma Industrial Estate, specifically at unit C/47 in Andheri West. It is not a place where you would come to sit down and eat, as we are mostly focused on getting tiffins packed and ready for delivery. The area is quite industrial and busy, with trucks and vans moving around all day long. Inside, it is usually hot because the stoves are going from early in the morning. We started doing this because we saw that people needed simple, home-style food that wasn't too heavy or greasy. We do all the cooking and packing ourselves, so our hands always smell like turmeric and spices. It is a lot of hard work, and there aren't many breaks once the lunch rush starts. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing department. We just write down the orders and make sure the right tiffin goes to the right person. Sometimes the traffic in Andheri makes the deliveries late, which is frustrating, but we do our best to stay on schedule. The kitchen is practical and set up for efficiency, not for looks. We just want to get the food out while it is still fresh and warm. It is a straightforward business, and we put in a lot of hours to keep it running properly. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to feed people decent meals every day.
