Pizza Casa is tucked away in Versova 6. It’s a small spot, and we usually have music playing that I like, though sometimes the staff changes it when I’m not looking. We started out just wanting a place where people could grab a slice without making a big deal out of it. The oven takes a while to heat up in the morning, so we get here early to prep the dough. Versova is a busy area, but our little corner stays somewhat quiet until the evening rush hits. We use whatever fresh stuff we can find at the local market. There’s no big secret to what we do. It’s just bread, cheese, and sauce. Sometimes we run out of things if the weekend is particularly crazy. We have a few chairs outside, but mostly people just stand around or take their boxes home. The walls could use a new coat of paint, I guess. My cousin helped me set up the counter and it’s held up okay so far. We don’t have a fancy menu with fifty different items. We just stick to what we know how to bake. It feels good when someone says the crust is just right. That’s enough for us. We are just a local pizza place trying to pay the rent and keep the neighbors fed. Come by if you are around the area and want something simple to eat while you walk.
