If you know the Nagdevi Street area, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our office for Pennar Aluminium Co.Ltd. is on the first floor of 145 Narayan Dhuru Street. It’s an old building, the kind where you can hear everything happening out on the street below. We’ve been here for years, surrounded by all the other hardware and metal shops. The stairs are a bit steep, and the hallway is narrow, but it’s home for us. Most of the day is spent handling orders and talking to people who come up from the street. Aluminium is what we know, and we’ve been dealing with it for a long time. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always someone shouting or a horn honking outside the window. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything. It’s just desks, stacks of paper, and samples of metal lying around. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit and wait for it to come back on while we drink some tea. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a practical space where we do our business. People know us in this part of town because we’ve been around so long. We just try to keep things moving and stay on top of the work as it comes in. It's a grind, but we like it here in the middle of all the noise and the chaos of the area.
