The office is in room 606 at the Cotton Exchange on Kalbadevi Road. We’ve been here for a long time now. The building is old and it’s always busy around here. Trading is mostly what we do. Some days the paperwork gets quite hectic. We just get on with the work every day. Kalbadevi stays crowded, so just getting to the door takes a while. Most of the neighbors are familiar faces. It's a regular office setup with simple desks and files. Nothing fancy is going on. Sometimes the elevators act up, so taking the stairs is better. From the windows, you can look out over the street. The traffic noise is constant. It’s a part of life in this area. We’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. My father was here before me, and now I’m the one looking at the ledgers. We don't do much online, mostly using phones or talking face-to-face. People stop by to discuss orders. Things move as best as they can. Our small team makes sure everything gets shipped. There isn't a big breakroom, so we just get tea from the stall downstairs. That's how it goes in Mumbai. Staying until the work is finished is normal. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our job. Keeping the books straight is the main thing. The address at 175 Kalbadevi Road hasn't changed. Everyone knows where the Cotton Exchange is. We just keep our heads down and work.
