Pearl Kitchen

Our place, Pearl Kitchen, is located over in Andheri East, specifically around Nahar Amrit Shakti in Secto. It’s on the 8th Main, near 15th Cross at 1208. It’s a bit of a residential area, so we get a lot of people who live nearby. Most of what we do is just cooking for the local families and folks coming home from work. The kitchen is where we spend almost all our time. It’s not a glamorous job. We’re usually elbow-deep in prep work or cleaning up after a big rush. The area around here has changed a lot over the years, but we just stay focused on what’s on the stove. We don’t have a big fancy dining room. It’s more of a practical setup for getting food out to people. Sometimes the delivery guys are buzzing in and out, which makes the place feel a bit smaller than it is. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It’s often hot and humid in the back, but we’re used to it. We don’t really do much in the way of promotion. People just know we’re here at 1208. It’s a steady kind of life, just making meals and making sure the kitchen is ready for the next day. We just keep our heads down and do the work because people around Nahar Amrit Shakti need their dinner on time.
